Funded Programmes

Employers can apply via the SkillsConnect system to obtain training assistance for course fees and funding for absentee payroll. The grant application should be submitted no earlier than 180 days before course start date and no later than 30 days after course start date.

2. Self-Sponsored Applicants

a. Eligibility Criteria

• Applicant must either be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore and;
• Applicant must be at least 21 years old and;
• Applicant must achieve at least 75% attendance, and pass all examinations /assessments and;
• Applicant is taking the course for the first time.

b. Funding for Individual

1: Permanent Resident
2: For applicants aged 40 years old and above
3: For applicants aged 35 years old and above, monthly salary not more than SGD$2000 or 13 years old and above for Person with Disabilities)

c. Training Allowance

Training Allowance at $4.50 per hour in addition to course fee subsidies is available for those under the Workfare Training Support scheme. For more information about claiming for Training Allowance, please click here.

4. ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ENHANCED FUNDING

SME Enhanced Training Support

• Company must be registered or incorporated in Singapore  with at least 30% local shareholding being held by Singapore Citizens (SCs) or Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) AND hiring not more than 200 employees (at group level) or with an annual sales turnover (at group level) of not more than S$100 million).

SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy

• Applicant must be a Singapore Citizen, aged 40 years & above

Workfare Training Suppost (WTS)

• Applicant must be a Singapore Citizen, aged 35 years & above and monthly income not more than $2000 or;
• 13 years old and above for Person with Disabilities) and;
• Applicant is taking the WTS qualifying course for the first time.

5. WSQ COURSE REFUND POLICY

Before the course is confirmed by ISCA, the participant can withdraw from the WSQ course. However, the refund will be prorated according to the following criteria:

Approval will be granted on a case-by-case basis. All refund will be in the form of credit voucher where the participant can use to pay for another course organised by ISCA.

Once the course and seat(s) are confirmed by the Institute, there will be STRICTLY no refund for non-attendance. All participants are liable for the Full Programme Fees in the event of non-attendance.

6. WSQ E-STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT (SOA)

In addition to the ISCA e-Certificate of Attendance (e-COA), participants who successfully completed the course & passed the assessment(s) will be awarded a WSQ SOA (electronic copy). The e-SOA can be downloaded by the participant at www.skillsconnect.gov.sg after SSG has generated the e-SOA.  

All Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of S$500 from January 2016. The SkillsFuture credit will not expire and the government will provide periodic top-ups. You may accumulate your credit and use your credit to pay for or offset skills related course fees by applying for claim(s) starting January 2016. If you wish to disburse your SkillsFuture Credit to ISCA, please login to SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) portal (http://www.skillsfuture.sg/credit) with your Singpass, within 60 days before the course start date to submit the SkillsFuture Credit Claim and obtain the necessary approval. Failure to submit claim application via SkillsFuture Portaland obtain necessary approval before the course start date will result in an administrative fee of $42.80 levied to revise the invoice based on the amount of SkillsFuture Credit you have indicated to use.
